We collect only what we need to deliver your ClearGlide and look after you afterwards. Here’s exactly what that means, in plain English.

1. Who we are
ClearGlide (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this online store and sells the ClearGlide Cordless Window Vacuum and related accessories to customers in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the store and look after your order:
- Order details — your name, email address, delivery address, phone number (if provided) and the items you buy.
- Payment information — handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account details — if you create an account, your login email, saved addresses and order history.
- Support messages — anything you send us through the contact form or by email, so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
- Device and usage data — basic technical information such as browser type, pages visited and how you arrived at the store, collected only where you have agreed to it.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Process, pack and deliver your order, and send you order and dispatch confirmations
- Handle returns, refunds and claims under our 30-day money-back guarantee
- Answer your questions and provide customer support
- Prevent fraud and keep the store secure
- Improve the store, our products and the shopping experience
- Send you occasional offers and product news — only if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time
Our legal bases for this are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a safe and well-functioning store, complying with the law, and — for marketing and analytics — your consent.
6. How long we keep it
We keep order records for six years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. Account details are kept for as long as your account is open. Support conversations are kept for up to two years so we can refer back if you contact us again. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Anything we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.
7. Keeping your data safe
The store is served over an encrypted connection, payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant provider, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order or help you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will let you know promptly if something goes wrong.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information where we no longer need it
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it
- Receive your information in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, just get in touch using the details below. We aim to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
9. Children
Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with their details, please contact us and we will delete them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the store or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
11. Contact us
Questions about this policy or your data? We’re happy to help. Simply send us a message through our contact page.
